
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Rebecca J. Tougas of Naples; his children, John Tougas, Sarah Sandak; two sisters, Suzanne Baker and Cecile Nix, and three grandchildren, Kai, Taiyo and Adam.
Pete was born on August 19, 1935, in Portland, ME, to Dr. Raymond and Therese Tougas.
He graduated from the University of Maine, loved tennis, bridge, chess, golf and especially family and friends. He retired from the tourism industry working for the government of Quebec and moved to Naples in 2001.
The celebration of Pete’s life with family and friends was held February 27, 2018, in the Island Walk Town Center in Naples. Services and burial will be held in May 2018 at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath, ME.
