The purpose of political campaign contributions is to influence an elected official’s political endeavors. This self-serving contribution may be labeled as “buying influence.”

There are consequences for political campaign contributions. The politicians who have accepted donations from the National Rifle Association are being called out as to why they will not help to protect unarmed citizens of this country. Nobody is mentioning dissolving the Second Amendment.

Elected officials who have received campaign donations are complicit in these shootings for accepting such egregious contributions and not trying to support common-sense gun regulation. They should be held accountable by being voted out of office.
