In the golden afterglow of the Olympics, thankfully, there is new hope for diplomacy between the United States, North Korea and South Korea. Tension seems to be de-escalating, and we don’t know if planned military exercises will resume.

Lest we forget diplomacy in the coming months, please join me and urge Sens. Susan Collins and Angus King to endorse S.2047, the Preventing Pre-emptive War in North Korea Act. This specific legislation is needed because both the War Powers Cause of the Constitution and the War Powers Resolution both have been flagrantly violated.
