On March 3, around noon, while at the intersection of Congress and St. John streets, I was knocked down by a heavy gust of wind.
A husband and wife who were waiting for the traffic light to change saw it, jumped out of their car, helped me up, picked up my groceries and asked if I was all right. Certainly I was, except for a pain in my elbow.
They offered to drive me to the bus stop that I was headed to. Instead, they drove me home to Stevens Avenue, which was way out of their way.
My thanks to the couple and their nice dog. There really are nice people in this world.
