Ray Allen, Steve Nash, Jason Kidd and Grant Hill are among the 13-member class that will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in September.

In addition to Allen, the class includes two other former Boston Celtics – Charlie Scott and Dino Radja – as well as Maurice Cheeks, Tina Thompson, Katie Smith, the late Ora Mae Washington, coach Lefty Driesell, and executives Rick Welts and Rod Thorn.

LPGA: Pernilla Lindberg took advantage of Sung Hyun Park’s late collapse – she dropped five strokes over five holes on the back nine – to take a three-stroke lead in the ANA Inspiration at Rancho Mirage, California.

Lindberg shot a 2-under 70, putting her in position to make the major her first professional victory. Amy Olson was second after a 68.

PGA: Ian Poulter put himself in position for a last-minute invitation to the Masters after a near miss last week, shooting a 7-under 65 to surge into a share of the lead with Beau Hossler at the Houston Open, in Humble, Texas.

TENNIS

MIAMI OPEN: U.S. Open champion Sloane Stephens won her hometown tournament, beating Jelena Ostapenko 7-6 (5), 6-1 in the final at Key Biscayne, Florida.

John Isner tries for the biggest title of his career Sunday when he faces Alexander Zverev in the men’s final. Isner could give the United States its first sweep at Key Biscayne since 2004, when Andy Roddick and Serena Williams won.

SOCCER

MLS: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Swedish star who recently left Manchester United to join the LA Galaxy, scored twice in his league debut in a 4-3 victory against Los Angeles FC at Carson, California.

Ibrahimovic won it with a header in the opening seconds of stoppage time after making it 3-3 in the 77th minute when he caught keeper Tyler Miller out of his goal and scored on a 40-yard kick.

• The visiting New England Revolution improved their record to 2-1-1 by defeating Houston, 2-0.

HORSE RACING

WORLD CUP: Thunder Snow stormed past race favorite West Coast to win by more than five lengths at Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Thunder Snow started from the 10th and widest post but slipped ahead of West Coast early in the race. He powered ahead by the halfway stage and finished with a burst.

FLORIDA DERBY: Audible ran away in the stretch to win the Florida Derby at Gulfstream, further cementing himself as a serious contender for the Kentucky Derby.

FOOTBALL

COLLEGE: Baylor paid former coach Art Briles more than $15 million after firing him in 2016 in the wake of a sexual assault scandal that included allegations against former players and rocked his program, according to newly released tax documents.

Baylor also gave the former university president, Ken Starr, more than $4.5 million after he resigned that same year. His departure followed a scathing report that found Baylor did little to respond to sexual-assault accusations involving members of its football program.

BOXING

HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Anthony Joshua was taken the distance for the first time before beating Joseph Parker by unanimous decision at Cardiff, Wales, and becoming a three-belt heavyweight champion.
