SOUTH PORTLAND — Public water main maintenance began in South Portland this week and will continue in South Portland and Westbrook over the next several months, according to the Portland Water District.
Maintenance flushing activities will occur Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Customers may notice short periods of water discoloration, PWD said in a press release.
Customers who experience any change in water quality following maintenance activities or have security concerns regarding Portland Water District employees, can call 761-8310. Portland Water District personnel carry photo identification and wear uniforms, the utility noted.
