WATERVILLE — The Thomas College women’s lacrosse team dropped a North Atlantic Conference contest, 10-2, to the University of Maine-Farmington on Wednesday afternoon at Bernatchez Field.

The Beavers improved to 3-5 (2-2 NAC) on the year, while the Terriers fell to 0-6 (0-4 NAC).

After a scoreless opening 10 minutes, the Beavers broke the tie at the 20- minute mark on a goal from Keilly Lynch.

The Terriers tied the game under five minutes later on tally by Kimberly Banks.

UMF picked up the offensive pace throughout the rest of the half with four unanswered goals. Banks added her second goal before the break to make it 5-2 at the intermission

The Beavers added five straight goals while shutting the Terriers out in the second half to finish the scoring. UMF led in shots, 17-3.

Former Mt. Ararat High School standout Sierra Gilley had a hat trick for UMF, while former Eagle Carly Raymond added a pair of goals. Former Morse athlete Isabella Monbouquette chipped in a goal and two assists for the Beavers.

Also playing in the game for UMF was Brunswick native Caroline Headley, while Thomas featured Freeport’s Rebecca Kennett and Topsham’s Nikki Bradstreet.

Thomas will host another conference game on Saturday, taking on New England College, while UMF hosts Colby-Sawyer at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
