Police officers from Portland and Westbrook were investigating a reported robbery at the Gulf Mart on Route 302 in Westbrook Friday night.

A shift manager at Corsetti’s restaurant next-door to the gas station told News Center Maine (WCSH/WLBZ) that the Gulf Mart had been robbed and that she had given police surveillance video from her store.

It was unknown Friday night whether the investigation at the gas station located between Corsetti’s and Pride’s Corner was related to a string of armed robberies in the Portland area.

Portland Lt. Robert Martin confirmed Friday that his department sent a K-9 officer to assist in a Westbrook investigation, but said further details would have to come from Westbrook police, who were unavailable to comment Friday night.
