A Hampden woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing a man Friday in the Penobscot County town.

Sonya Dupray, 38, was arrested by Hampden police Friday night and charged with attempted murder, News Center Maine (WCSH/WLBZ) reported.

The victim was identified as Matt Dugas, 53, who was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor with serious stab wounds.

Police said the stabbing occurred at Dugas’ apartment. A neighbor heard him yelling for help and called for police.

Dupray was brought to the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor.
