The longtime home of The Griffin Club, a landmark tavern in South Portland’s Knightville neighborhood, was demolished Tuesday to make way for a new music venue and restaurant, as well as condominiums. Eddie Griffin opened the bar in 1973, and it served its last drinks in May.
