Nyagoa Bayak, Westbrook junior, jumps: Bayak won the high jump (5-4) and triple jump (36-8) at the Class A outdoor state championships last year. This winter, she again swept the high jump (5-8) and triple jump (36-51/2) at the indoor championships, then won the high jump at New Englands with an all-time Maine best mark of 5-10.

Victoria Bossong, Cheverus freshman, sprints: Bossong helped Cheverus earn a share of its first Class A indoor title (the Stags tied with Scarborough) by taking second in the 200 (25.96) and 400 (58.51) and third in the 55 (7.39).

Darcy Cochran, Cape Elizabeth sophomore, hurdles: Cochran won the 100 hurdles at the Class B outdoor championships last year in a state-best time of 15.14 and took second in the 300 hurdles (46.03). This winter, she won the Class B indoor title in the 55 hurdles (8.51).

Emma Gallant, Cheverus sophomore, sprints: Gallant won the 200 with a Class A state-record time of 25.33 at last year’s outdoor championships and also won the 100 (12.60), then captured the New England title in the 200 (24.81). This winter, she set a Class A record in the 400 (57.80), won the 200 (25.94) and finished second in the 55 (7.34).

Juliana Selser, South Portland senior, middle distance: Selser won the 1,600 (5:11.01) and 800 (2:16.95) at the Class A outdoor state meet last year. This winter, she captured the Class A indoor title in the 800 (2:21.12) and mile (5:12.15).

Anna Slager, Gorham senior, distance: Slager took second in the 3,200 at the Class A outdoor state meet last year (11:26.18) and was again the runner-up in the 2-mile at the indoor state meet in February (11:36.28).

Morgan Selby, Greely junior, hurdles: Selby won the 300 hurdles (45.96) and took fifth in the 100 hurdles (16.88) at the Class B outdoor state meet last year.

Nina Tasker, Noble senior, hurdles: Tasker won the Class A 100 hurdles (15.28) and placed third in the 300 hurdles (47.91) last year. This winter, she captured the 55 hurdles in a state-leading time of 8.50.

Carolyn Todd, Greely junior, distance: Todd was third in the 3,200 (11:28.43) at the Class B state meet last year. This winter, she won the Class B title in the mile (5:25.30) and 2-mile (11:59.47).

Emma White, Cheverus junior, jumps: White took the Class A long jump title (18-2) at the outdoor state meet last year and was runner-up in the triple jump (36-7). Indoors this winter, she placed second in both the triple jump (36-4) and long jump (17-1) at the Class A state meet.

Lisandro Berry-Gaviria, Mt. Ararat sophomore, distance: Berry-Gaviria won the mile (4:22.72) and 2-mile (9:58.80) at the Class A indoor state championships this winter after being injured during the 2017 outdoor season.

Dominic Creenan, Westbrook senior, jumps/hurdles: Creenan placed second in the long jump (21-21/2) and third in the 110 hurdles (15.91) at the Class A outdoor meet last year, This winter, he was the Class A champion in the long jump (22-0) and 55 hurdles (7.78).

Jarett Flaker, Scarborough sophomore, sprints/hurdles: Flaker was second in the 100 (11.13) and third in the 300 hurdles (40.68) at the Class A state meet last year. This winter, he won Class A titles and set state records in the 55 (6.50) and 200 (22.32), and also won the 400 (49.87).

Tahj Garvey, Yarmouth senior, sprints: Garvey successfully defended his Class B outdoor state title last year in the 400 (49.94) and finished sixth at New Englands (49.88).

Luke Laverdiere, Yarmouth senior, distance: Laverdiere swept the distance events at the Class B outdoor meet last year, capturing the 1,600 (4:18.75), 800 (2:01.00) and 3,200 (9:31.69). At the indoor Class B meet this winter, he won the 2-mile (9:35.31).

Jason Montano, Thornton Academy junior, throws: Montano finished fourth in the shot put at the Class A state meet last year (51-7), then won the indoor state title (57-11/4) and New England title (55-10) this winter.

Alex Wilkins, Windham senior, jumps: Wilkins earned the Class A outdoor state title in the triple jump (43-91/4) and took third in the long jump (21-11/4). This indoor season, he won the triple jump state title (43-43/4).

Travis Snyder, Thornton Academy junior, vault/hurdles: Snyder placed second at the Class A outdoor meet last year in the pole vault (15-6). This winter, he cleared 16-1 during the regular season and won the state title (14-6), and also was second in the 55 hurdles (8.06).

Jake Martin, York senior, hurdles: Martin captured the Class B outdoor state title last year in the 110 hurdles (15.21) and was second in the 300 hurdles (40.82).

Zach Westman, York senior, hurdles/jumps: Westman won the 300 hurdles (40.71) at the Class B outdoor meet last year, and took second in both the long jump (21-1) and triple jump (42-101/4).
