Cole Sturgeon scored the winning run on a wild pitch in the ninth as the Portland Sea Dogs rallied for a 6-5 win over the Trenton Thunder in Trenton, New Jersey.

Trailing 5-2 heading into the eighth, the Sea Dogs (6-7) rallied to tie it on a three-run double by Luke Tendler.

Rashad Crawford and Mandy Alvarez each had two RBI for Trenton.

Minnesota Vikings linebacker Kentrell Brothers was suspended for the first four games of the regular season for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substances policy.

A person familiar with the situation tells The Associated Press that the Baltimore Ravens have offered New Orleans Saints restricted free-agent receiver Willie Snead a two-year, $10.4 million contract.

The Saints have five days to match the offer.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Nick Foles reached an agreement on a restructured contract that awards him with a $2 million signing bonus and creates an option year for 2019, NFL sources said.

The Giants acquired punter Riley Dixon from Denver in a trade, offering a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2019 draft in exchange, a source confirmed.

COLLEGE: Former Ohio State football coach Earle Bruce has died at his home in Columbus, Ohio, at age 87. He’d been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Bruce followed Woody Hayes as coach and compiled an 81-26-1 record.

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS: John Daly and Michael Allen took the second-round lead in the cool and breezy Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf at Ridgedale, Missouri.

Defending champions Vijay Singh and Carlos Franco were a stroke back along with Bernhard Langer-Tom Lehman and Paul Broadhurst-Kirk Triplett.

PGA: Zach Johnson shot a second-round 7-under 65 to have a share of the lead at the Valero Texas Open at San Antonio.

Johnson is tied with Ryan Moore.

LPGA: Moriya Jutanugarn took the lead into the weekend at the HUGEL-JTBC LA Open in her latest bid to join younger sister Ariya as an LPGA Tour winner.

Jutanugarn shot a bogey-free 5-under 66 to get to 8-under 134.

TENNIS

MONTE CARLO MASTERS: Rafael Nadal won nine straight games to open his match against Dominic Thiem, quickly advancing to the semifinals with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at Monaco.

AUTO RACING

NASCAR: Martin Truex Jr. won the pole for the NASCAR Cup Series race Saturday at Richmond Raceway, edging Chase Elliott.

XFINITY: Christopher Bell grabbed the lead out of a restart to begin the final stage and held off teammate Noah Gragson to win at Richmond.
