I thought the Local & State section of your paper was reserved for news articles.

Imagine my surprise when a story that appeared to be about the life of Barbara Bush turned into an anti-Trump bias piece (“Barbara Bush reminds us how far we have fallen,” April 19, Page C1). Columnist Bill Nemitz’s hatred toward our sitting president had no place in this section of the paper and certainly no place in a memorial piece about the former first lady.

The only gargantuan ego on display here was that of the author. I’m sure that if Mrs. Bush were alive to read this piece, she would have been displeased to be compared to and contrasted with President Trump in such a way.

I think this author indeed needs to (in the words of Mrs. Bush) “try again.”
