Bill Nemitz can write very creative and wonderful articles on people’s lives. He has a sensitivity and an ability to point out just how absurd humans can be.

Thursday’s column exposes the other side of Mr. Nemitz’s character. Rather than writing a positive piece on Barbara Bush, and what she represented to him and others, Mr. Nemitz chose to write about how awful Donald Trump is compared to Mrs. Bush.

Mr. Nemitz is the perfect example of “how far we have fallen” in civic behavior and discourse.
