Jhalan Jackson hit a two-run homer during a three-run fourth inning Saturday as the Trenton Thunder beat the visiting Portland Sea Dogs, 3-1.

Luke Tendler put Portland ahead 1-0 with an RBI single in the second inning before Trenton’s three-run rally.

Cole Sturgeon extended his on-base streak to 14 games to begin the season for Portland with a walk in the fifth.

MAMMOTHS WIN: The Maine Mammoths secured the first victory in franchise history, defeating the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks 45-24 at Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

The Mammoths (1-2) used a 20-0 run in the fourth quarter to beat the Steelhawks (0-2).

AUTO RACING

NASCAR: Kyle Busch pulled away on a restart in a two-lap overtime sprint to the finish at Richmond, Virginia, and won his third consecutive race in the Cup Series.

Busch, who started 32nd but quickly worked his way into contention, outran Chase Elliott and teammate Denny Hamlin for his fifth career victory at Richmond. The victory is his 46th overall.

FA CUP: Ander Herrera scored the winning goal as Manchester United secured a place in the final by beating Tottenham 2-1 at London.

Chelsea and Southampton will meet Sunday in the other semifinal.

SPANISH CUP: Barcelona became the first team in 85 years to win four straight Copa del Rey titles, blowing away Sevilla 5-0 at Madrid.

MLS: Cristian Penilla scored the tying goal in the first minute of first-half stoppage time and the visiting New England Revolution held on for a 2-2 tie with the Columbus Crew.

GOLF

PGA: Zach Johnson birdied the par-5 18th at the Valero Texas Open for a share of the third-round lead with Andrew Landry, a stroke ahead of record-setting Trey Mullinax.

Johnson shot a 4-under 68, holing a 10-footer on 18 to match Landry at 13-under 203. Landry birdied the 16th and 17th in a 67. Mullinax had a course-record 62.

LPGA: Moriya Jutanugarn overcame a poor start and birdied the 18th for a hard-earned 1-under 70 to tie Jin Young Ko at 9 under going into the final round of the HUGEL-JTBC LA Open at Los Angeles.

CHAMPIONS TOUR: The defending champion team of Vijay Singh and Carlos Franco took the third-round lead in the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf at Ridgedale, Missouri.

EUROPEAN TOUR: A birdie on the last hole gave Alvaro Quiros a one-shot lead going into the final round of the Trophee Hassan II at Rabat, Morocco.

MONTE CARLO MASTERS: Rafael Nadal beat Grigor Dimitrov 6-4, 6-1 in the semifinals at Monaco.

The top-ranked Nadal will face Kei Nishikori, who beat No. 4-ranked Alexander Zverev, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.

FED CUP: Kristina Mladenovic rallied to beat CoCo Vandeweghe 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 and draw France level with defending champion United States in their semifinal at Aix-En-Provence, France.

PREP SCHOOLS

SOFTBALL: McKayla Leary was 3 for 3 with a double, a walk and two runs to lead the Winsor School (2-3) to a 18-11 win over Berwick Academy (0-3) at South Berwick.

Charlotte Wensley had two hits, walked and scored three runs, and Jaiden Williams finished with two hits, a walk, and two runs for Berwick.
