After looking at all of the candidates for the nomination for governor, from all political parties, my vote is going to Democrat Adam Cote.

Until his candidacy, I knew very little about Adam Cote, even though he is from my hometown. Through attending live debates, watching taped debates, listening to all of the candidates and reading what they hope to accomplish, I have gotten to know much more about Adam Cote, and I like what I see.

I have found that Adam Cote is a man of family values. He understands that low unemployment does not equate to economic growth. Adam knows that Maine, as the oldest state in the nation, has to find ways to attract a younger population and retain our youth. As a native Mainer, Adam understands the needs of our state and the importance of our natural resources.

Adam Cote has proven himself as a leader in Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan. They do not hand out Bronze Stars unless you have proved that leadership. Adam Cote is a recipient of the Bronze Star.

For me, the best thing about Adam Cote is that he has no history in Augusta. Adam Cote is a fresh face who we should welcome as our new governor.
