The Spartans picked up their first win of the season, topping Bonny Eagle on Thursday.
Anna Johnson won her singles match 6-2, 6-2 while Kim Works won 6-4, 6-4. Elaine Howley rounded out the singles matches with a 6-4, 6-2 win.
Sanford’s doubles pair of Brianna Racicot and Alyssa Sibley won 6-2, 6-3, while Sara Baker and Mikala Lucas fell 6-1, 6-4.
Kennebunk/Wells 4, South Portland 1
The Rams pushed past the Red Riots on Thursday.
Kennebunk/Wells’ Rosemary Campanella won her match 6-0, 6-0 while teammate Amelia Nelson won 6-0, 6-3. Logan Bard topped Sarah Weden for the Rams’ third win.
Kennebunk/Wells’ Hannah Marquis and Olivia Talevi won their doubles match 6-0, 6-4, while Lyndsey Green and Lilliana Brandao fell 6-3, 6-2.
BOYS TENNIS
Bonny Eagle 5, Sanford 0
The Scots cruised to a sweep of Sanford on Thursday.
Evan Smith topped Sanford’s Felix Meas 6-4, 6-2 while Aidon Rousch beat Brayden Ginchereau 6-4, 6-1. Brandon Hogan then topped Sanford’s Zachary Bresett 6-0, 6-0.
Bonny Eagle’s Nick Sawyer and Adria cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Kyle Bresett and Nicholas Works. Peyton Oertel and Cam Michelson picked up Bonny Eagle’s fifth win with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Brian Shaw and Landon Jones.

The Rams swept the Red Riots on Thursday.
Decland Archer won his singles match 6-3, 6-0 while Andrew LeBlanc won 6-4, 6-3. Mason Burke wounded out the singles matches with a 6-1, 6-3 win.
Kennebunk/Wells’ doubles pair of Keegan Donaher and Logan Strauss won 6-1, 6-1 while Jack Gurski and Rory Sheehan rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win.
BOYS LACROSSE
Thornton Academy 12, Deering 5
Tied 4-4 at half, the Trojans would have a big second to cruise to a win over the Rams on Wednesday.
Noah Edborg led TA with four goals while CJ LaBreck added three. Thomas Levasseur and Tucker Weeks each scored twice in the TA win.
Goalie Ean Patry finished the day with seven saves for TA.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Noble 15, Sanford 4
The Knights cruised to a win over the Spartans on Thursday.
Sam Couture, Summer Smith, Delainey Blaisdell all had hat tricks for Noble. Emily Carlton added two goals while Riley Collins, Savanna Houston, Cassandra Chabot and Riley Pomerleau scored one apiece.
Tiffany Twombly, Jada Kimball, Marissa Laurendeau and Valentina Drown all scored for Sanford in the loss.
Kelly Cremmen recorded seven saves for Noble while Sanford’s Dominique Gable racked up nine.
