Maine Democrats voted down a bill making female genital mutilation illegal because child abuse is already illegal? Duh.
The people who commit this horrific procedure do not consider it to be child abuse. Someone has to make it clear to these misguided humans that what they are doing is a crime – and the way to do that is to make female genital mutilation illegal.
Shame on the Democrats who voted this down.
