Nick Thompson struck out 12 over 6 1/3 innings and hit a two-run single to lead Scarborough to a 5-0 win over Deering in an SMAA baseball game Saturday.

Jason Clark’s two-run single in the second gave Scarborough (2-2) a 2-0 lead.

Noah Frink and Nolan Lamontagne each added three hits for the Red Storm.

Deering fell to 1-1.

KENNEBUNK 9, WESTBROOK 7: Derek Smith homered and drove in four runs as the Rams (1-1) beat the Blue Blazes (1-3) in Westbrook.

Smith added an RBI double during a three-run third, then hit a solo home run in the seventh to give Kennebunk a 7-3 lead. The Rams added two more runs before Westbrook rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Elliot Gere also had two hits for Kennebunk.

P.J. Dorn hit an RBI double, and Dustin Delponte and Lucas Knapton each added an RBI single during Westbrook’s seventh-inning rally.

SOUTH PORTLAND 11, BIDDEFORD 1: Hunter Owen threw a two-hitter to lead the Red Riots (3-0) over the Tigers (3-1) in Biddeford.

Riley Hasson recorded three hits and three RBI. He hit a two-run double in the fourth and an RBI triple in the fifth. Zach Johnson added two RBI singles, with Hasson scoring on each.

Owen (2-0) allowed six walks and struck out nine.

MARHSWOOD 3, WINDHAM 2: Connor Caverly hit an RBI single in the sixth and Nathan Curtis struck out eight in 6 1/3 innings as the Hawks (2-1) held on to beat the Eagles (0-2) in South Berwick.

After an error put Marshwood ahead 1-0 in the second inning, Curtis scored on a hit by Eli Janetos in the fifth. Caverly’s single made it 3-0 in the sixth.

Cameron McCartney and Everett Millett each hit RBI singles in the seventh for Windham.

NOBLE 5, FALMOUTH 2: Owen Podolec scored the go-ahead run on Bryce Cantin’s sacrifice fly in the fifth as the Knights (2-2) beat the Yachtsmen (2-1) in North Berwick.

Jacob Lacroix pitched a complete game, allowing seven hits, while striking out five. He also hit a double and then made it 5-2 with an RBI single in the sixth.

Coby Johnson and Duncan McGilvery each added two hits for the Knights.

Sam Kidder had two hits and an RBI for Falmouth.

SANFORD 3, MASSABESIC 2: Ryan Connarton had an RBI double and hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 12th inning to give Spartans (1-3) a win over the Mustangs (0-4) at Sanford.

Nate Martineau had two hits and pitched four scoreless innings in relief to earn the win.

Tyler Ouellette and Ben Carroll each drove in a run for Massabesic.

GORHAM 3, BONNY EAGLE 1: Brogan McDonald and Trevor Gray each hit an RBI singles and Jacob Sladen threw a complete game to lead the Rams (2-1) past the Scots (1-2) in Gorham.

Lucas Roop put Gorham ahead with a sacrifice fly in the second inning. McDonald singled home a run in the third, then Gray made it 3-0 in the fourth.

Sladen allowed six hits while striking out four.

Casey Maturo hit an RBI single in the fourth for Bonny Eagle.

YARMOUTH 12, POLAND 0: Jackson Caruso went 3 for 3 with two RBI, and John Romano and Toby Burgmaier each had two hits and two RBI as the Clippers (2-0) rolled past the Knights (0-3) in five innings in Yarmouth.

Luke Waeldner had two hits and earned the win on the mound, allowing two hits over four innings.

WELLS 6, YORK 3: Cam Cousins pitched a four-hitter and hit an RBI single as the Warriors (2-1) defeated the Wildcats (0-3) at Old Orchard Beach.

Gary Andrews drove in three runs for Wells – with a groundout in the first inning, a sacrifice fly in the third and a double in the fifth.

GREELY 15, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2: Jacob Whiting had two hits and three RBI for the Rangers (2-1) in a five-inning win over the Patriots (1-1) at Gray.

Greely’s Alex Eisenhart finished with three hits. Eben Kiesow allowed one earned run over four innings.

BRUNSWICK 5, CONY 1: Zack Grant and Sam Sharpe hit RBI singles in the first inning to start the Dragons (1-3) on their way to a win over the Rams (0-3) in Brunswick.

Inchino Honda, an exchange student from Japan, scattered nine hits to earn the win.

MT. ABRAM 16, WISCASSET 0: Hunter Warren and Luke Kearing combined to pitch a five-inning no-hitter for the Roadrunners (2-2) against the Wolverines (0-4) in Wiscasset.

Kearing added a home run, two singles and three RBI.

SOUTH PORTLAND 10, BRUNSWICK 9: Charlie Cronin scored 33 seconds into overtime for the Red Riots (3-0), who rallied in the second half to defeat the Dragons (3-1) at South Portland.

David Fiorini, Aidan Shepano and Jack Tierney each had two goals, and Quinn Watson recorded 12 saves for South Portland, which trailed 6-3 at halftime.

Brunswick’s Aidan Glover had three goals and two assists, and Connor Pendergast made 17 saves.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 9, GARDINER 8: Connor Clock scored three goals, including the winner with two minutes left in overtime, lifting the Panthers (3-0) over the Tigers (1-2) in Yarmouth.

Ryan Baker, Reese Farrell and Mason Parks each added two goals for NYA.

PORTLAND 9, EDWARD LITTLE 6: Reilly O’Brien recorded three goals and four assists, and the Bulldogs (3-0) rallied from an early 3-0 deficit against the Red Eddies (1-2) in Auburn.

Sam Shaw and Sam Gerber each added two goals for Portland.

Spencer Frahn and Eli Thibodeau each finished with two goals for the Red Eddies.

GORHAM 17, CAMDEN HILLS 3: Connor Dougherty had five goals and three assists, and Jake Dupuis added four goals as the Rams (1-2) cruised past the Windjammers (0-2) in Gorham.

Colby Gould contributed a goal and two assists.

Alex Corey scored three goals and Thomas Goebel had two for Camden Hills.

LAKE REGION 18, LAWRENCE 6: Brandon Sargent scored six goals to lead the Lakers (2-1) over the Bulldogs (0-5) in Westbrook.

Griffin Madore scored twice and added two assists, and Cole Sullivan made eight saves.

Travis Brown chipped in with three goals and Tyler Woolston had four assists

Massabesic was led by Max Irons with three goals and Cameron Roy and Jacob Travis with two apiece.
