CUMBERLAND — Eben Kiesow laced a walk-off RBI single to right field in the ninth inning Friday as Greely edged Lake Region 8-7 in baseball.

Luke Miller had four hits for Greely (4-3), and scored the winning run after hitting a single and stealing a base to move into scoring position. Kiesow and Alexander Eisenhart each had three hits.

Cody Allen led Lake Region (3-4) with three hits.

Jacob Whiting (1-0) earned the win, pitching four shutout innings with seven strikeouts.

SANFORD 11, KENNEBUNK 10: Ryan Connarton lined a two-run double, advanced to third and scored on a passed ball to give the Spartans (2-4) an 11-9 lead in the top of the seventh as they survived the Rams (1-3) at Kennebunk.

Kennebunk got back a run in the bottom of the inning on an RBI single by Eliot Gere but left the tying and winning runs on base.

Marcus Gould led Sanford with three singles, and Jared Scarpelli contributed a pair of hits.

Ian Connors and Alex Champagne had two hits apiece for the Rams.

SCARBOROUGH 5, SOUTH PORTLAND 2: Dominic Spina lined a single to drive in Nick Thompson and Nick Martin in the top of the sixth, his second hit of the game, to give the Red Storm (3-3) the lead for good as they rallied past the Red Riots (3-2) at South Portland.

Thompson, Scarborough’s starter, had a pair of doubles and drove in a run.

Thompson picked up the win, going the distance, allowing one earned run on four hits, striking out nine and walking one.

Khem Johnston had an RBI double for South Portland.

OCEANSIDE 2, BELFAST 1: Logan Sheridan pitched a four-hitter with nine strikeouts and drove in the winning run in the sixth inning for the Mariners (5-1) against the visiting Lions (3-3) at Rockland.

Sheridan hit a two-out single in the sixth that scored Michael Norton, who reached on a single and stole second.

Uriah Thongsophaphone doubled and scored on a single by Titus Kaewthong in the first inning.

Grey Dinsmore pitched a five-hitter with four strikeouts for Lions, who scored their run in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Dakota Payson that scored Skylar Perkins.

NOBLE 5, BIDDEFORD 3: Matthew Ryan’s two-run double down the right-field line in the bottom of the sixth gave the Knights (4-2) a 4-3 lead over Biddeford (4-2) in North Berwick.

Ryan completed the rally by scoring on Jared Grondin’s single to center.

CAPE ELIZABETH 8, FREEPORT 2: Brendan Tinsman had a homer and double to pace a 13-hit for the Capers (5-0) as they pulled away from the Falcons (4-2) at Freeport.

Ryan Weare had three hits, including a double, for Cape Elizabeth and Sean Agrodnia had a double.

Finn Johnson had a double and knocked in a run for Freeport.

WINDHAM 3, CHEVERUS 1: Tanner Bernier struck out eight to lead the Eagles (4-2) over the Stags (1-4) in Windham.

Cam Dube hit an RBI single in top of the first inning to put Cheverus ahead 1-0, but Windham tied it in the bottom of the inning on an RBI single by Bryce Afthim.

Derek Foss hit an RBI single and Ryan Sargent added a sacrifice-fly in the fourth to put Windham up 3-1.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 7, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 6: Tucker Buzzell led off the top of the seventh with a triple and scored on an RBI double from Dawson Jones, who later stole third and scored on a catcher’s error as the Raiders (3-2) edged the Patriots (2-3) at Gray.

Jones led Fryeburg Academy with three hits, including a pair of doubles, and Bryce Micklon added three hits.

Nick McCann, Jacob Dyer and Josiah Rottari had two hits apiece for GNG.

SACOPEE VALLEY 5, TRAIP ACADEMY 2: Dylan Miner struck out eight and hit an RBI double to lead the Hawks (1-4) over the Rangers (4-2) in Hiram.

Sacopee Valley scored four unearned runs in the second to overcome an early 2-0 deficit, with Miner’s double coming in the inning. Miner, Jared Jordan, Isaac Stocks and Peter Cates each had two hits.

WELLS 7, YARMOUTH 3: Tyler Bridge doubled home Michael Wrigley, and scored on a wild pitch, to top off a three-run first inning for the Warriors (5-1) during a victory against Yarmouth (3-2) in Wells.

Liam Bell started the rally, hitting a double and scoring on Cam Cousins’ line single.

Cousins added an RBI double as Wells opened a 7-1 lead before the Clippers scored twice in the seventh.

Jason Lainey had two hits for the Clippers.

LACROSSE

LAKE REGION 18, OXFORD HILLS 3: Caleb Emery had seven goals and two assists to propel the Lakers (3-2) by the Vikings (0-4) at South Paris.

Nate Bragdon-Clements had five goals and a pair of assists for Lake Region, and Paul Vigna added two goals.

Kyle Williams stopped two shots for the Lakers.

PORTLAND 6, MT. ARARAT 4: Reilly O’Brien had four goals as the Bulldogs (5-0) outlasted the Eagles (4-1) at Topsham.

Kevin Moore and Sam Shaw also scored for Portland.

Jacob Sargent had a pair of goals for Mt. Ararat, and Connor Brown and Matt Lawrence each chipped with a goal.

Aaron Hoekstra turned back 12 shots for the Bulldogs.

WINDHAM 18, EDWARD LITTLE 7: Travis Brown and Tom Lekousi combined for nine goals to lead the Eagles (3-1) against the Red Eddies (1-4) at St. Joseph’s College in Standish.

Tyler Woolston had four goals and dished out five assists for Windham.

Spencer Frahn led Edward Little with four goals and two assists.

Ben Elliot turned aside 14 shots for the Eagles, and Gunnar Winslow stopped 12 shots for the Eddies.

THURSDAY’S BASEBALL

PORTLAND 9, MARSHWOOD 8: The Bulldogs (3-1) scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and held on to beat the Hawks (3-2) at Hadlock Field.

Ben Stasium hit a three-run triple and Ben Sawyer had an RBI single during the rally.

Charles Graffius allowed no runs and no hits in two innings of relief for the win. Donnie Tocci pitched the seventh for the save.

DEERING 7, MASSABESIC 6: Bobby Ridge singled home Jack Lynch in the bottom of the 12th to give the Rams (2-1) the victory over the Mustangs (0-6) at Hadlock Field.
