YORK — Karissa Kenyon threw a one-hitter and went 4 for 4 with three runs scored as Wells rolled to an 18-0 win over York in a Western Maine Conference softball game stopped after five innings Saturday because of the mercy rule.

Kenyon struck out 10 and walked two.

Anya Chase went 3 for 4 with three RBI, and Olivia Durfee added three hits for Wells (5-2), which scored two runs in the first, eight in the second, five in the third and three in the fourth.

The Warriors collected 24 hits.

York dropped to 3-1.

THORNTON ACADEMY 3, GORHAM 2: Olivia Paradis singled home Amanda Bogardus to break a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the sixth, and the Trojans (8-0) beat the Rams (5-3) in Saco.

Thornton took a 2-0 lead in the fourth when Kaitlin Verreault hit a two-run homer.

Gorham tied it in the sixth on a two-run homer from Kiana Tracey.

Winning pitcher Louisa Colucci struck out 11 while allowing three hits.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 5, CAPE ELIZABETH 4: Brooke Juneau and Kaylee Emery each drove in a run during a five-run third inning as the Raiders (4-2) edged the Capers (2-3) in Cumberland.

Julia Torre had three hits and drove in two runs for Cape Elizabeth.

NOKOMIS 16, MCI 4: Aren Herrick hit a grand slam as part of a four-hit game, leading the Warriors (4-3) to a win over the Huskies (0-6) in Newport.

Maci Leali had a double and triple among her four hits for Nokomis, which collected 21 hits. Winning pitcher Britney Bubar had four singles, and Alyssa Ellis contributed three hits.

Emily Linkletter had a double for MCI.

BASEBALL

CAPE ELIZABETH 4, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Brendan Tinsman went 3 for 4 and hit a two-run homer in the third inning as the Capers (6-0) beat the Raiders (3-3) in Cape Elizabeth.

Nathan Kapp and Oscar Saunders each had two hits for Fryeburg.

PORTLAND 7, FALMOUTH 4: Ben Stasium had four hits, including a go-ahead RBI single in the eighth inning as the Bulldogs (4-1) beat the Yachtsmen (2-3) in Falmouth.

Will Barnard contributed three hits and two RBI, including an RBI single in the eighth.

Garrett Aube hit a solo home run for Falmouth, which erased a 3-0 deficit with three runs in the sixth.

YORK 5, FREEPORT 4: Tim MacDonald doubled home Shane Pidgeon in the bottom of the seventh to lift the Wildcats (2-4) past the Falcons (4-3) in York.

Freeport tied the game in the top of the seventh when Colby Wagner hit a solo home run.

Jake Sullivan pitched a complete game for York, allowing three earned runs.

Freeport’s Shea Wagner drove in two runs.

BONNY EAGLE 9, MASSABESIC 2: William Whyte had three hits and scored three runs, Arlo Pike hit an RBI triple as part of a four-run first inning, and the Scots (3-2) cruised to a win over the Mustangs (0-7) in Standish.

Greg Emerson had three hits and drove in two runs, while Khyler Hart added an RBI double.

Connor Sirois struck out eight while allowing two runs on four hits in five innings to get the win.

Tyler Lambert had two hits and scored a run for Massabesic.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

GREELY 8, GORHAM 7: Elsa Dean-Muncie scored three goals as the Rangers (4-1) beat the Rams (2-3) in Cumberland.

Katie Bennert, Courtney Sullivan, Jen Spencer, Ellie Holt and Jayme Morrison each added a goal for Greely.

Hallie Shiers had two goals and an assist for Gorham.

YORK 12, THORNTON ACADEMY 8: Lilla Reinertson had six goals and an assist, and Cassie Reinertson added four goals and two assists to lead the Wildcats (3-2) past the Trojans (2-2) at York.

Catherine Henaire finished with four goals for Thornton. Adeline Paradis scored three goals.

BIDDEFORD 15, WELLS 2: Grace Boisvert scored four goals, Peyton McKeown had two goals and three assists and the Tigers (4-1) rolled past the Warriors (1-2) in Biddeford.

Megan Mourmouras, Hailey Allen and Kairlye McQueen each added two goals.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 19, CAMDEN HILLS 8: Bella MacMahon and Lincoln Hamblett each scored six goals to lead the Panthers (2-3) to a blowout win over the Windjammers (0-2) at Yarmouth.

McMahon also assisted on two goals.

Caroline Contento had two goals and an assist for Camden Hills, and Ryan Hart also scored twice.

Maya Davis made 22 saves for NYA.

PORTLAND 15, CONY 5: Isabella Moore scored three goals, leading the Bulldogs (3-2) to a win in Augusta.

Chloe Kilbride, Emma Merrill and Annika Moore added two goals apiece for Portland, and Abby Krieckhaus made five saves.

Sierra Clark scored a pair of goals to lead Cony (2-2), while Lauren Coniff, Faith Leathers-Pouliot and Sarah Caron had a goal apiece. Kat Biasuz made eight saves.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

WINSLOW 16, JOHN BAPST 4: Bryce Hillier, Landon Hotham and Colby Nadeau each scored three goals to pace the Black Raiders (3-1) to a win in Winslow.

Jared Lambert and Issac Lambrecht contributed two goals apiece, while Kyle Gurney, Jamison Carey and Ronan Drummond each had one.

Colby Brown scored three goals for John Bapst (0-2).
