A New York man pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court to distributing drugs in Maine.

Denton Worrell, 20, also known as “Lil D,” of Rochester, New York, entered the plea in U.S. District Court in Bangor, admitting to conspiracy to distribute heroin, fentanyl and crack cocaine.

Authorities say that between June 2015 and March 2017, Worrell and others bought the drugs in Rochester, New York, and took them to central Maine to sell. In return for drugs, some residents allowed Worrell and the others to use their homes for drug sales and helped to distribute, store and transport the drugs.

Worrell will be sentenced at a later date. He faces up to 20 years in prison, a fine up to $1 million and three years to life on supervised release.
