Abraham Lincoln, in the conclusion of his Gettysburg Address, said that our government is “of the people, by the people and for the people.”

The Republicans who are suing to prevent the use of ranked-choice voting in Maine seem to prefer a government that is of the incumbents, by the incumbents and for the incumbents.

Especially for the incumbents.
