Emma and Liam might be tops for baby names in the country, but in Maine, they’re only third place.
Here, you’re more likely to see babies named Charlotte or Oliver.
The Social Security Administration released its list of most popular baby names in Maine for 2017. Here’s the list:
For girls, the top names in order are Charlotte, Olivia, Emma, Harper and Amelia.
For boys, it’s Oliver, Lincoln, Liam, Owen and Wyatt.
Nationally, the top 10 list for girls includes Emma, Olivia, Ava, Isabella, Sophia, Mia, Charlotte, Amelia, Evelyn and Abigail, in that order.
The top 10 for boys is Liam, Noah, William, James, Logan, Benjamin, Mason, Elijah, Oliver and Jacob, in that order.
