Cape Elizabeth senior Brendan Tinsman was named Tuesday as Maine’s 2018 Gatorade baseball Player of the Year award winner. Tinsman, a four-year standout catcher with a booming bat, who also completely neutralizes opposing running games, has been named to the All-Conference team in each of his previous three high school seasons. Tinsman has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend and play baseball at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
