It is an honor to publicly support state Rep. Rachel Talbot Ross in continuing the work she is trying to do for the state of Maine. Rachel successfully has and is organizing and engaging a community of diverse backgrounds to discuss community issues, e.g., restorative justice, the health concerns of women of color, and education.

In her role as a member of the Criminal Justice Committee, Rachel is committed to informed lawmaking. She has been steadfast in ensuring that the voices of survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation are heard via our presence or written testimony, not relying only on organizations and those who may not even be affected by bills being heard. Instead, she makes sure we who are affected are able to have a voice.

I am excited about her continuing to aid in creating solutions to some of Maine’s most complicated issues.

Her opponent in Maine House District 40 (Herb Adams) has not been involved in community organizing. Rachel has been organizing and empowering communities all over Maine for several years before being elected state representative, and continues to do so.

I look forward to Rachel Talbot Ross continuing the good work she has started in Augusta. Please join me in voting for Rachel in the June 12 Democratic primary.
