On June 12, Betsy Sweet will be my first choice for the Democratic nomination for governor.
I have been a family practitioner in Maine since 1997. Additionally, for the past 14 years, I’ve expanded my practice to include providing medication-assisted treatment for individuals suffering with opioid addiction. It is a proven effective evidence-based practice.
As I reviewed the positions of the candidates on the opioid epidemic, there is one candidate who presents a position that will make a difference in this crisis. That candidate is undoubtedly Betsy Sweet.
Betsy understands that we need treatment for individual and families. Too many Mainers are suffering and lack access to insurance. We must expand Medicaid. Betsy has made health care for all a centerpiece of her candidacy.
Please stand with me and vote for hope in stopping this crisis by voting for Betsy Sweet on June 12.
