A motorcyclist from Limington died Monday morning after his 2007 Suzuki motorcycle crashed in Baldwin near Sebago Lake.

Capt. Donald Goulet of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office identified the driver as Morris L. Watson Jr., 42.

Watson was not wearing a helmet when his bike, which was traveling west on Route 113, collided with a 2016 Ford Focus that was slowing down to make a left turn into a driveway. Police said that Watson was following too closely to the Focus.

Watson’s motorcycle struck the left rear corner of the Ford Focus, causing it to careen into the eastbound lane of Route 113, where the bike skidded into the path of a 2008 Ford F-350 service truck owned by Nestle Waters of North America.

Goulet said in a statement Monday night that Joshua W. Bowe, 37, of Sebago was operating the Nestle Waters truck. Bowe had one passenger, Iain A. Kurry, 20, of Falmouth. The driver of the Ford Focus was Javon S. Weathers, 21, of Baldwin. Weathers also had one passenger, Jason Warren, 41, of Baldwin.

Police did not say whether any of the other drivers or passengers were injured.

First responders received the call about the crash at 11:24 a.m. Monday and responded to the area of 90 Pequawket Trail, which is also known at Route 113.

Correction: This story was revised at 12:24 p.m., June 12, 2018, to reflect that Jason Warren, 41, of Baldwin was the second passenger in a car operated by Javon S. Weathers, 21, of Baldwin. A previous version of this story misidentified the passenger based on incorrect information furnished by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
