CUMBERLAND — Next year’s School Administrative District 51 budget narrowly passed its second and final hurdle, 2,159 to 2,023, at Tuesday’s budget validation referendum.
The $37.3 million budget, which passed by a margin of 52 to 48 percent, received initial public approval at a district budget meeting May 17. On Tuesday it passed 1,381 to 1,355 in Cumberland, and 778-668 in North Yarmouth.
