PORTLAND — Democratic Rep. Rachel Talbot Ross is her party’s nominee for the House District 40 seat. Talbot Ross, the incumbent, defeated challenger Herb Adams by a 810-260 vote Tuesday.
The Democratic primary result virtually assures Talbot Ross of re-election Nov. 6 as the Republicans did not have a candidate in the primary election. House District 40 covers the Parkside and Bayside neighborhoods and extends along Forest Avenue to a portion of Back Cove and Oakdale.
