YARMOUTH — Citizens on Tuesday voted in favor of adding a recalls provision to the Town Charter.
The effort, led by citizen petition, will allow for the removal of Town Councilors from office with a recall election after certification of supporting petitions with signatures from at least 20 percent of the town’s registered voters.
On Tuesday, 1,706 voted in support of the provision and 1,058 against.
