CONCORD, N.H. — An elite New Hampshire prep school that was hit with multiple sexual misconduct allegations spanning five decades says abused alumni can seek compensation by submitting requests to an independent arbitrator.
St. Paul’s School announced the service Tuesday, days after announcing it would start a therapy fund for abused alumni. The school said survivors may share their stories confidentially with the arbitrator, who is experienced in childhood sexual abuse claims and would determine any compensation award.
The school also named an independent victim advocate consultant to assist alumni. It also has established the Alumni Doorways initiative, which connects alumni looking to engage in conversation to promote healing.
St. Paul’s requested an investigation in 2016 that found more than a dozen former employees engaged in sexual misconduct while at the school.
