It seems clear now that the Republican-dominated Congress will do nothing to check the unconscionable policy of Donald Trump regarding separating children from their parents at the U.S. southern border. Not a single Republican member of Congress has signed on to a stand-alone Keep Families Together Act to reunite families. Meanwhile, Trump’s latest executive order does nothing to fix the humanitarian crisis and chaos that he created at the border.
The “people” will demonstrate against Trump’s policy Saturday across the country and will make their voices of opposition heard at the ballot box in November.
