NEW YORK — New York Yankees Manager Aaron Boone said Friday it’s “pretty realistic” that outfielder Aaron Judge will be able to play again in three weeks.

Boone made the assessment a day after Judge’s right wrist was fractured when he was hit by a pitch against Kansas City. Boone said he’s not sure if that time frame means a minor league rehab game or a return to the Yankees’ lineup.

“I think the three weeks is a possibility he’s in a game,” Boone said.

Judge’s wrist isn’t in a cast and the team said he won’t need surgery. The Yankees put him on the 10-day disabled list and recalled infielder-outfielder Tyler Wade from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Judge wis hitting .285 with 26 home runs and 61 RBI.

WHITE SOX: Chicago recalled right-hander Thyago Vieira from Triple-A Charlotte and purchased the contract of right-hander Tyler Danish from its top minor league affiliate.

Veteran pitcher Chris Volstad was designated for assignment. One roster spot was available Thursday after the White Sox traded reliever Joakim Soria to the Milwaukee Brewers.

PHILLIES-METS: Philadelphia acquired infielder Asdrubal Cabrera from New York for a pitching prospect.

The Phillies traded Double-A right-hander Franklyn Kilome to get Cabrera.

MARINERS-CARDINALS: Seattle bolstered its bullpen by acquiring right-handed reliever Sam Tuivailala from St. Louis for minor-league pitcher Seth Elledge.

Tuivailala is 3-3 with a 3.69 ERA in 31 appearances for St. Louis this season, his second full season in the big leagues.

DIAMONDBACKS-TWINS: Arizona acquired switch-hitting infielder Eduardo Escobar from Minnesota for minor league right-hander Jhoan Duran, and outfielders Gabriel Maciel and Ernie De La Trinidad.

Escobar, 29, hit .274 with 15 home runs, 63 RBI and a major league-best 37 doubles in 97 games this season, his seventh with the Twins. From Venezuela, Escobar has played third base, shortstop and second base this season. In eight seasons in the majors with the Chicago White Sox and Minnesota, he has a .256 average with 63 homers and 287 RBI.

BRAVES-RAYS: Atlanta traded for Tampa Bay left-hander Jonny Venters in exchange for $250,000 in international signing bonus pool allocation.

Venters, 33, came up with the Braves and was a key member of the bullpen from three seasons, making the All-Star Game in 2011. But persistent elbow problems stifled his career; he hadn’t pitched in the big leagues until he was called up by the Rays this season.
