SACO BAY ARTISTS meeting Sept. 10
Saco Bay Artists will hold its monthly meeting at noon on Monday, Sept. 10 in Room 203 on the second floor at Saco Parks and Recreation, 75 Franklin St., Saco featuring abstract acrylic artist Robert Gibson.
Gibson says he aims to construct vibrant compositions of color that “rekindle in the viewer a sense of joy, peace, and harmony, and create a luminous shimmer in the viewer’s eye.”
A graduate of the Philadelphia College of Art, Gibson has exhibited in many juried art shows, including the Center for Maine Contemporary Arts, the Atrium Gallery at the University of Southern Maine, the Olin Arts Center at Bates College, and the Copley Society of Art in Boston. He has also had several one-person shows and was included in the 2014 edition of Art Collector Maine.
The meeting is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Kathy Angel Lee at 937-2125 [email protected].

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
