SACO – Milestone Recovery invites the community to join in its annual 60 Miles for Milestone fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Biddeford-Saco Elks Club at 68 Ocean Park Road in Saco.

This popular annual event raises more than $15,000 each year to support Mainers in recovery from substance use disorders and homelessness.

The day begins with a 60-mile, police-escorted, feet-up motorcycle ride through scenic York County, and culminates with a post-ride barbecue, live music, raffles, and speakers. Attendees are welcome to join in the barbecue, the ride, or both.

Tickets for the barbecue only are $20. Tickets for the barbecue and ride are $25 for a single rider, or $30 with a passenger. More information and registration are available at milestone-recovery.org.

Ride registration begins at 9:30, and the ride leaves Saco at 11:00. The barbecue begins at 1:00.

60 Miles for Milestone is generously supported by Northeast Bank, Intermed, Cross Insurance, KeyBank, Machias Savings Bank, Martin’s Point Health Care, Coffee By Design, Granite Recovery Centers, Mercy Hospital, Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution, Opus, ProSearch, and WC Enterprises.

The agency serves clients from across the state of Maine in its Old Orchard Beach and Portland-based programs. Its programs include Maine’s only independent, non-profit, medical detox program, the only substance use-specialized homeless shelter, long term treatment, community-based homeless outreach and health care, long-term housing placement, and women’s recovery housing.

Milestone Recovery is a forward-thinking, community-responsive organization employing the best evidence-based practices to meet the recovery needs of its clients and communities. For more information call 775-4790 or visit www.milestone-recovery.org.
