NORTH YARMOUTH — The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 47-year-old Lufkin Road woman who hasn’t been seen since Sunday.

Kristin Westra, a third-to-fifth-grade teacher at the Chebaague Island School, was last seen at home by her husband the night of Sept. 30, according to Capt. Scott Stewart.

Westra is white, 5 feet 10 inches and 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Her clothing description is unknown, and her vehicle was still in the driveway when she vanished, according to authorities.

There is no known reason why she would be missing, the sheriff’s office said. Those with information on Westra’s location are asked to call the Cumberland County Regional Communications Center, 893-2810, option 2.

Westra’s brother, Eric Rohrbach, was among many who took to Facebook to put the word out, and express hopes for her safe return.

“We are emotional and raw but trying to stay positive,” he wrote. “… I cannot express how much she means to us, please think positive thoughts.”
