SANFORD — Residents with questions about their electricity bills can hear directly from Maine’s Public Advocate on Tuesday in Sanford.

State Rep. Anne-Marie Mastraccio, D-Sanford, said Maine’s Public Advocate, Barry Hobbins will answer questions from the community and discuss the role of the  public advocate.

The Office of the Public Advocate represents Maine utility consumers to ensure affordable, high quality utility services for all Maine people.

“I have heard from too many constituents about billing problems they’ve had over the last year,” said Mastraccio. “There is an ongoing investigation into these problems and I’m glad to be able to host an informational forum with the public advocate so that people in Sanford can get an update on what’s going on.”

The meeting is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the third floor City Council chambers at Sanford City Hall, 919 Main St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
