FREEPORT — Sam Tourigny scored the game-winning goal with 12 minutes remaining as the Freeport High School boys soccer team knocked off Cape Elizabeth, 2-1, in Western Maine Conference action on Friday.

The Falcons finished the regular season with a 9-3-2 mark, while the Capers fell to 5-4-3.

Killian Lathrop gathered a loose ball in the penalty area and put in an unassisted goal for Cape Elizabeth midway through the second period to open the scoring.

Gabe Wagner put in a header off a Will Winter corner just minutes later for Freeport.

Atticus Patrick made eight saves for the Falcons. Harry Baker had 10 saves for the Capers.

Freeport next plays in the Class B South quarterfinals on a date to be announced.

Lisbon 4

Cam Poisson scored twice and set up two other goals in Lisbon’s Mountain Valley Conference win over Mountain Valley (6-6-1) on Friday.

DJ Douglass added a goal and an assist for the Greyhounds, and Elijah Fullerton contributed a goal.

Alexei Dolitski and Riley Bedard scored the Falcons’ goals.

Lisbon improved to 5-7-1 with the victory and hosts Monmouth Academy today at 3:30 p.m.

The visiting Eagles scored late in regulation to pull out a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference victory over the Red Eddies in Auburn.

Ethan Rac finished off a pass from Nolen Timberlake with 1:49 remaining, giving Mt. Ararat an 11-1-1 record heading into today’s home game with rival Brunswick (3:30 p.m.).

James Singleton had five saves in the win, while Mack Sampson turned away eight shots for Edward Little.

Brunswick 1

Cooper Millett collected his own rebound and buried a shot from 5-yards away with 15 minutes remaining, giving Lewiston (11-0-2) the edge over host Brunswick (6-5-2).

Brunswick’s Luke Cheseldine opened the scoring in the first half.

Ahmed Safi Abadir tied the game early in the second half with a waist-high drive.

Dido Lumu stopped three shots for Lewiston. Jack McDiarmid made 12 saves for Brunswick, which visits Mt. Ararat today at 3:30 p.m.

BREWER — Nate Girardin and Cam Hathaway scored a touchdown each as Brunswick downed Brewer, 14-0, in Class B North action on Friday.

Girardin ran into the end zone from 18-yards out in the first quarter for a 7-0 lead.

In the second, the Dragons doubled their lead when Hathaway dove into the end zone from the Brewer (1-6) 1-yard line.

Brunswick is 5-2 heading into this upcoming Friday’s home showdown with 6-1 Cony (7 p.m.).

The visiting Hornets bounced back from their first loss of the season with a Class C South win at McMann Field in Bath on Friday.

Wyatt Hathaway was 6-of-11 passing for 152 yards and two touchdowns to pace Leavitt (6-1) as the Hornets scored the game’s first 41 points. Hathaway also rushed for a pair of touchdowns.

Austin Baltazar put the Shipbuilders (3-4) on the board in the fourth quarter with a 1-yard touchdown run, and Josh ter Mors finished the scoring with a 7-yard TD run.

Morse visits Mt. Ararat this upcoming Friday at 7 p.m. at the Topsham Fairgrounds.

The visiting Seagulls scored first on Saturday, but the Falcons reeled off the final 20 points to improve to 6-1.

Aiden Michaud’s 21-yard touchdown run midway through the second quarter broke the 6-6 tie, dropping Old Orchard Beach to 3-4.

Adam Ulrickson added a 15-yard touchdown run in the third quarter for Freeport, which visits Sacopee Valley on Friday at 7 p.m.

The visiting Knights recovered two onside kicks and grabbed a 14-0 lead just 59 seconds into the game.

Lisbon reeled off the next 48 first-half points en route to a Class D South win and a 6-1 record heading into Saturday’s game at Oak Hill (1:30 p.m.).

Lucas Francis had 162 yards on 10 carries in the win and passed for another 91, with Robbie Dick picking up 41 yards receiving. Running back Isaiah Thompson added 60 yards on eight runs.

Girls soccer

RUMFORD — Giana Russo and Kiley Merritt posted two goals each as Lisbon cruised to a 7-2 victory over Mountain Valley in girls’ MVC action on Friday.

The Greyhounds (10-3-1) rattled off five goals in the second half.

Sophie Ladd and Emily Richard provided one goal apiece for the Falcons (1-12). Courtney Therrien and Ladd secured the assists.

Goalies Taylor Henry and Lilly White combined for 20 saves for Mountain Valley, while Sarah Haggerty repelled six to earn the win in net for Lisbon.

The Dragons bounced back from their first loss with a KVAC win at Lewiston on Saturday.

Brunswick is 11-1-1 heading into tonight’s home contest against Mt. Ararat (6 p.m.).

Goals by Anna Kousky (two), Isabella Banks, Charlotte MacMillan and Alexis Guptil powered Brunswick, with assists going to Isabella Banks (three), Kousky and MacMillan.

Aisley Snell made five saves for the shutout, while Blue Devil netminder Gemma Landry turned away 19 shots.

Mt. Ararat 3

Reese Turcotte scored on a corner kick early in overtime to lift the host Eagles to a KVAC win over the Red Eddies on Friday.

Mt. Ararat is 8-5 with a visit to Brunswick slated for this afternoon.

Jess Cloutier gave Mt. Ararat a 1-0 halftime lead off an assist from Eliza Libby.

Trailing 2-1 late in regulation, Ema Hawkes tied it for the Eagles to send the game to overtime, where Libby set up Turcotte for the winner.

Abby Sirois had eight saves in the Mt. Ararat cage.
