WATERBORO — A Biddeford man was arrested for heroin possession on the Sokokis Trail in Waterboro early Saturday morning.

York County sheriff deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person on the Sokokis Trail in Waterboro at approximately 1 a.m., according to a press release from York County Sheriff Bill King.

Upon arrival, deputies found Jonathan Dowd, 27, whose last known address is Biddeford.

Dowd was found in possession of heroin and was subsequently arrested, according to King.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 7.

He remained incarcerated at the York County Jail in Alfred as of Sunday morning pending posting $500 bail, according to King.
