I’m voting for Dennis Welsh for state representative in House District 47. I am inspired by Dennis’ passion to bring disparate voices together in Augusta. I believe independents like Dennis are our only hope for compromise. In an election season ripe with division, equal access to the ballot is paramount. We benefit from competition in politics and a move away from a two-party system. I am voting on merit, issues and candidate character. I stand next to Dennis at clam festival volunteer tables, Town Council meetings, and school facilities roundtables. Dennis is a small business owner, a committed dad, and an information-gatherer. He is pro-Medicaid expansion, pro-immigration to help Maine farmers, and cautious about tax hikes. He will vote the conscience of his constituents; he will work to bring people together.
