WELLS —The Wells Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 33rd Annual Christmas Parade scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 9.

The parade steps off at 2 p.m. from the Wells Plaza and proceeds north on Route 1 to the Wells Junior High School.  The theme is “This is My Christmas.”

The Grand Marshal this year is Tony Hafford of TC Hafford Basement Systems. He is the winner of the chamber’s “Above and Beyond” Award,” an honor created to recognize members of the Wells Chamber of Commerce that truly go “above and beyond” their normal membership, based on their dedication, commitment, sense of community and support to the Chamber throughout the year.

Hafford regularly and unselfishly offers his time and resources to help make chamber events successful and the organization is grateful for his help.

The parade’s Primary Event Sponsor is Kennebunk Savings, Gold Sponsor is Avita of Wells and the Silver Sponsor is DF Richard Energy.  York Hospital in Wells will be serving hot cocoa and cookies in front of the Junior High School gymnasium at the conclusion of the parade.

Families, youth groups, civic groups, businesses and individuals are cordially invited to participate and there is no charge to join in the festivities.

For more information about the parade, please contact the Wells Chamber of Commerce at 646-2451 or visit www.wellschristmasparade.com.
