FALMOUTH — The Town Council will conduct a site visit at Freeport High School at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10.
The purpose of the tour is to observe the outdoor lighting at the school’s football field, which is similar to the lighting being proposed for the new Falmouth Center development on Route 1, near the Bucknam Road intersection.
Among the amenities being proposed by developer Jonathan Cohen are two outdoor playing fields and one indoor field that would be operated by Seacoast United, which wants 80-foot light poles on the outdoor fields.
The council will convene at the front door of Freeport High School and then view the lighting from different distances and angles. The public is welcome to attend, but there will be no opportunity for public comment.
