RICHMOND — Caitlin Kendrick led a balanced attack with 12 points as the Richmond High School girls basketball team rolled to a 49-33 Mountain Valley Conference victory over Mt. Abram on Wednesday.

The 2-6 Bobcats also received 11 points from Macy Carver, nine from Hannah Moholland and eight from Bryanne Lancaster.

Richmond, which visits Monmouth on Friday at 7 p.m., led 9-6, 24-9 and 40-21 at the quarter breaks.

Kendrick dished out seven assists and picked up four steals, with Carver pulling down eight rebounds and blocking three shots. Moholland had three assists and three steals, while Lancaster matched Carver with eight boards and dished out four assists.

Summer Ross paced the Roadrunners (1-6) with 13 points.

The visiting Seahawks improved to 6-0 with an MVC win over Wiscasset, which fell to 0-7 and visits Lisbon on Friday at 7 p.m.

Boothbay led 11-6, 35-12 and 49-14 at the quarter breaks.

Glory Blethen powered the win with 20 points, while Faith Blethen added 19.

Bri Orr led the Wolverines with seven points, while Madison Carrier chipped in six and Kateleen Trask five. Sydnie Thayer pulled down nine rebounds.

Luci Rothwell had a double-double, scoring 24 points and grabbing 20 boards in Telstar’s MVC victory over Lisbon.

Brooke Richardson contributed 11 points for the Rebels (1-7) and seven rebounds.

Charlee Cox had 13 points for the Greyhounds (0-6), while Mallory Fairbanks had 12 points.

The hosts Hornets received 18 points from Taylor White for a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win over Morse in Turner.

Alison Noniweicz scored 16 points for the Hornets (2-4).

Julia Goddard led the Shipbuilders (0-7) with 13 points, while Marija Medenica had 11.

Junior forward Emily Olivia Pye drained 20 points to lead Rangeley to a Class D South victory over Pine Tree Academy.

The Lakers (8-1) picked up the tempo in the second quarter and didn’t let down until the final buzzer.

Freshman forward Winnie LaRochelle contributed 16 points on six field goals, four free throws and eight rebounds for Rangeley.

Senior forward Emily Schlisner was the leading scorer with six points for the Breakers (2-2) in the losing effort.

Pine Tree Academy heads to Vinalhaven for a pair of games, the first tonight at 5:30 p.m.

The host Dragons took control in the third quarter en route to a KVAC win over the Windjammers.

Brunswick (6-1) outscored Camden Hills (2-5), 19-3, in the third quarter, led by Charlotte MacMillan, who picked up nine of her 17 points in the quarter.

Emily Larochelle chipped in 16 points in the Brunswick win, while MacMillan added eight rebounds, five blocked shots and four assists.

Kaylyn Krul had eight points for the Windjammers.

Brunswick visits Cape Elizabeth on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Boys basketball

RANGELEY — Nolan Boone poured in 23 points to lead Rangeley to a 71-35 Class D South win over Pine Tree Academy.

Kenny Thompson added 15 points and William Brey had 12 for the Lakers (5-2), who trailed 10-6 after one quarter but then scored 20 or more points in each of the final three quarters.

Pine Tree (1-3) was led by Grant Milano’s 12 points.

The Breakers visit Vinalhaven tonight at 7 p.m.

Boys hockey

BRUNSWICK — Gorham won a back-and-forth Class B South battle, 6-4, over Brunswick at Sidney J. Watson Arena.

The Dragons fell to 5-2 and host Gardiner on Saturday at 8:45 p.m.

Michael Marro, Jack St. Pierre, Scout Masse and Michael Eno tallied goals for Brunswick, with Liam Hemberger and Joe Marro adding an assist.
