LISBON — DJ Douglass scored a game-high 24 points as Lisbon defeated Telstar, 96-43, in a Mountain Valley Conference high school boys basketball contest Thursday.

Devin Marquis had 13 points for the Greyhounds (4-3), while Ring Ring had 12 points and Corey Wiers had 10.

Davin Mason scored 23 points for the Rebels (0-8), and Colby Marriott added eight points.

Lisbon heads to Wiscasset on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

Nate Luce scored 19 points to power the host Roadrunners to an MVC win over the Bobcats.

Mt. Abram earned its first win (1-6), while Richmond, which hosts Monmouth on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., fell to 1-7.

Calob Densmore had a game-high 20 points for the Bobcats, with Danny Stewart adding 10 points and Damien Little nine. Stewart had 18 rebound and four steals.

Steve Reny dropped in 16 of his 18 points in the first half, helping the Seahawks (7-0) to a 51-14 lead over Wiscasset (1-6) at Boothbay in MVC action.

Kaleb Ames and Benjamin Pearce scored 15 each, with Hunter Crocker adding 10 for Boothbay.

Billy Pinkham scored 13 for the Wolverines, who host Lisbon on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

Finn Mitchell and Noah Cox combined for 51 points as the Dragons rolled to  KVAC win over the Windjammers on Wednesday.

Brunswick (4-3) led 22-20, 38-31 and 55-48 at the quarter breaks.

Mitchell had 27 points and Cox 24 in the win, while Sam Sharpe and Noah Goddard each tallied 10 points.

Jeremy Fraser led Camden Hills with 20 points, with Ionut Lodge chipping in 16.

Brunswick hosts Cape Elizabeth tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Girls basketball

GARDINER — Gardiner outscored Mt. Ararat, 29-15, in the middle two frames for a 48-29 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win.

The Eagles fell to 3-4.

The Tigers led 9-7, 23-15 and 38-22 at the quarter breaks.

Bailey Poore and Aimes Adams each scored 16 points in the win.

For Mt. Ararat, which visits Falmouth tonight at 6 p.m., Theresa Breed and Ainsley Bryant led the way with six points apiece. Breed, Elsa Daulerio and Grace Liedman each pulled down six rebounds, while Bryant had five steals.

At the line, Mt. Ararat was 9-of-15 and Gardiner 8-of-13.

Girls hockey

PORTLAND — Abby Lamontagne scored a hat trick with an assist and Sophia Pompeo had three assists as Cheverus/Kennebunk (9-1) downed Brunswick, 6-0, at Troubh Arena.

The Dragons are 1-9-1 heading into Saturday’s 7 p.m. home contest with Yarmouth/Freeport inside Sidney J. Watson Arena.

Pompeo added a goal, and Sarah Noyes and Zoe Mazur also scored for Cheverus/Kennebunk, which led 5-0 after two periods.

Boys hockey

BRUNSWICK — Bangor’s Cooper Ireland scored a hat trick as the visiting Rams cruised to a 7-1 victory over Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse/Hyde at Sidney J. Watson Arena.

The Rams (5-0) had 13 different players register at least a point with Josh Sherwood adding a goal and an assist to go with Ireland’s three-goal game. Also scoring for Bangor were Dan McCarthy, Hunter Neale and Reid Higgs.

Rams netminder Jacob Henry made 10 saves to earn the victory.

The Eagles (3-4-1) got a goal from Ian Struck on assists by Noah Austin and Ian Cooke.

Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse/Hyde freshman goaltender Sean Moore was solid in net despite taking the loss, making 40 saves.
