New production manager hired at MSMT

Maine State Music Theatre has hired a seasoned technical director to fill the newly created year-round position of production manager.

Kyle Coyer will oversee all technical and production aspects of MSMT’s main stage shows, concerts, events, co-productions, and Theatre for Young Audiences productions. He previously worked as the technical director of Opera Utah Symphony and Utah Opera. Prior to that, he worked as assistant technical director at the Houston Grand Opera. He has a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Design and Technology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

“Kyle has the skill set and passion we need to bravely explore new territories as we move into the future,” said MSMT Artistic Director Curt Dale Clark. “He will fill the theatre’s existing needs and generate new ideas.”

Now in its 61st year, Maine State Music Theatre is based at Picard Theater on the Bowdoin College campus.

Topsham Hannaford celebrating major renovations

The Hannaford store and pharmacy at 49 Topsham Fair Mall, Route 196, is hosting grand reopening events through Sunday, March 24 to celebrate the completion of renovation projects that brought many new services and items to the supermarket.

Included will be product sampling from local vendors and the in-store kitchen,  coupons and product giveaways and other activities.

“We’re excited to offer increased convenience and more fresh varieties while also maintaining our commitment to low everyday prices,” said Ericka Dodge, spokesperson for Hannaford.

The store has expanded its kitchen to include a sushi chef, hand-battered fried chicken, in-store prepared sandwiches and salads, and a hot bar with entrée options. The seafood department has expanded its offerings.

Hannaford To Go, a service that allows customers to order groceries online and pick up their order at the store, has also been added. The expanded produce department now has the feel of a greengrocer within the supermarket. The supermarket has expanded its overall variety of products with many new items, including the addition of more than 300 organic and natural offerings and the expansion of fine cheeses.

Additionally, the pharmacy has been expanded so customers will have access to a private consultation room. Also among the key amenities are six self-checkout registers.

Bath Savings Institution has announced management changes to its Brunswick office. Upon the retirement of former branch manager, Kathy Reed, Bath Savings has announced its new branch manager, Assistant Vice President Shannon Anketell of New Gloucester.
