WEST KENNEBUNK — Keep the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day going with a concert by the popular Irish music trio, Fόdhla at the West Kennebunk United Methodist Church on Sunday, March 24, at 3 p.m.

Comprised of flutist Nicole Rabata, fiddler Ellery Klein and guitarist Bethany Waickman, Fόdhla, pronounced Foh–la, is well-known to audiences in southern Maine, New Hampshire, and the Boston area.

After 15 years of performing together and recording on each other’s solo albums, Rabata and Klein decided that forming a group was long overdue. With the addition of Waickman on guitar, the trio forges a sound rooted in traditional Irish music, with influences from their experience playing a wide range of musical styles.

Fódhla has been well received at festivals such as Portland’s Saltwater Festival, the Maine Celtic Celebration, and the Boston Celtic Music Festival. The group’s debut recording, “Notes from Millpond,” was released in December 2015 to a sold-out show at Acoustic Artisans in Portland.

The West Kennebunk United Methodist Church is located at 160 Alfred Road in the village of West Kennebunk. The concert, which is part of the church’s fund-raising efforts, takes place Sunday, March 24, 2019, from 3 to 5 p.m.

Admission is by donation at the door. Suggested levels are $18 for adults, $12 for youth and seniors (under 18/over 65), with a $40 maximum for parents with children.
