Brunswick – Morley J. Thomas, age 92 of Brunswick, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Coastal Manor in Yarmouth. 

Morley was born in Presque Isle, ME on February 19, 1927, the son of Stephen L. and Iva J. (Wallace) Thomas.  He was educated in local schools and graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1944. 

Following his graduation, Morley entered the U.S. Army and faithfully served his country during WWII. 

In 1958, he and his family moved to Brunswick and Morley attended X-Ray Technician School at Maine Medical Center in Portland.  Following his certifications he worked at Parkview Hospital in Brunswick, where he also was manager of the X-Ray department for over 35 years. 

He was a member of the Brunswick Seventh-day Adventist Church and was active with the Northern New England Pathfinder clubs.  He and his family enjoyed camping, hiking and spending time on the Allagash. 

Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Barbara J. (Hall) Thomas of Brunswick; two sons, Guy Thomas and his wife, Nancy of Litchfield, ME, and Aubrey Thomas and his wife, Lora of Oklahoma; his daughter, Jeanne Pierce and her husband, Eric of Topsham; a sister, Thelma Wilhelmsen of Nebraska; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held at 3 o’clock on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the Brunswick Seventh-day Adventist Church, 333 Maine St, Brunswick.  If desired, donations may be made in his memory to Pine Tree Academy, 67 Pownal Road, Freeport, ME  04032.  Arrangements are in the care of the Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick.  Condolences can be expressed to the family by visiting our website at www.brackettfh.com
