KENNEBUNK — The Art Guild of the Kennebunks is inviting artists to submit their art work for consideration to become members of the guild.

As an AGK member, artists can display their works at well-attended exhibits held several times each year. In addition, members have their names, style of work and contact information published in the annual Membership Guide.

“Membership provides artists an opportunity to connect with other artists and share experiences about their art,” said AGK president Wendy Webster Good. “AGK has approximately 80 members.”

Artists must preregister by Monday, April 1.

For pre-registration forms, guidelines and additional details, send an email to AGK Membership Chairperson Sheila Clough at cloughjs@sacoriver.net or call 651-5699. Type “AGK Jury Process” in the subject line of your email.

After pre-registering, artists submit five examples of art they feel best shows their artistic voice in each category for which they wish to be considered. Examples of the categories include: 1) two dimensional paintings/drawings; 2) photography; 3) sculpture.

Artists may submit their work either digitally via email to: Artguildjury@gmail.com by Monday, April 1 or by delivering their art on Saturday, April 13 between noon and 1 p.m. to the Brick Store Museum Program Center, 4 Dane St., Kennebunk.

Artists pick up their art at 3 p.m. the same day. Applicants will be notified by mail of the results of the jurying.

Snow date for submissions is Sunday, April 14.
