I find it very unfortunate, especially in a community like Yarmouth, when good, well-meaning citizens bring issues to the public either by public comment or by a letter to the editor, and their behavior is characterized as “complaining” or construed as being in some way malicious.

Having run a dental practice for many years, I strongly encourage the Town Council in its obligation to have a job description, annual review and contract for the current town manager, or any in the future. I also expect that the council should have a complete understanding of the full compensation package that the manager now receives and should make that information public. In my opinion, this is a fiduciary responsibility of the council to the citizens of Yarmouth.
